Our 2hr Learn to Lead sessions will teach you all the skills you need to become a lead climber. Whilst fitting it around your busy work schedule.

It is recommended you attend a minimum of 2 sessions to allow time to cover all of the required content.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Arrive at the wall to meet your instructor and the rest of your group, discuss aspirations and what you want to achieve from the session.

Time to get climbing!
​
Your instructor will get you on the ropes to asses you top rope belaying with the aim to iron out any bad habits be. They will give you some pointers and tips to make sure your current skills are up to a high standard.
​
You will then move onto the fundamentals of the session introducing new knowledge. Lead climbing and clipping quick draws, belaying and catching falls and much more. The content will be delivered at a pace to suite the group and individual learning needs. However this does mean there is only so much content that can be delivered in the 2hrs meaning it is likely you will need a 2nd session to be in a position to go and lean on your own.

Don't worry it won't all just be learning new rope work sills. we will make sure to give you plenty of time to put your skills to practice on the wall.

Your session will conclude with a little debrief to recap any information you have forgotten and point you in the right direction for your climbing journey!
EQUIPMENT
We provide all technical equipment including harness, helmets and ropes
Clothes suitable for physical activity (Don't forget your suncream or warm layers or waterproofs we will be outside all day)
If you have your own harness or a shiny piece of climbing kit feel free to bring it and we can show you how to use it!
PRE-REQUISITES
Must be a competent trope belayer
Must be climbing comfortably at Grad 5+
