WHAT WE WILL COVER
This 2-day Mountain Skills course delivered by experienced Mountain Leaders will cover:

Navigation Skills - the use of a map and compass

Planning your journeys - we will look at the things you should consider when planning your mountain adventure to have the best day on the hill.

Mountain Weather - Where to find the best forecasts and how to interpret them
-
Clothing and Equipment - Learn what to take and when.

Emergency Procedures - Understand what to do when things go wrong
EQUIPMENT
You will need to provide:​

Waterproof Jacket and Trousers

Insulated Jacket (Spare Warm Layer)

Summer Hillwalking Boots (shoes with good grip on the sole, not trainers)

30L Rucksack + Liner (sturdy bin bag will do)

Fleece

Walking Trousers (NO Jeans or Joggers)
